Metro Security Services aims to provide consistent quality in line with international best practice.We have taken all necessary steps to ensure that we comply with the laws relating to operating as a security company in South Africa and are certified with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority.
The mandate of PSIRA is derived from the Private Security Industry Regulatory Act 56 of 2001. The primary objective of the Authority is to regulate the private security industry and to exercise effective control over the practice of the occupation of security service provider in the public and national interest and in the interest of the private security industry itself.
To this end Metro Security Services works closely with PSIRA, ensuring that both the company and all our security personnel are registered and operate within the industry’s codes of best practice.
SABS ISO 9001:2008
The ISO 9001 family of quality management systems standards is a globally accepted standard designed to help organizations ensure that they meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders, while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service.
The ISO 9001 series deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles upon which the family of standards is based.Those eight principles are:

- Involvement of people
- Process approach
- System approach to management
- Continual improvement
- Factual approach to decision making
- Mutually beneficial supplier relationships
This system ensures that there is a protocol process to our business so that we maintain consistent international quality service to our clients.
In order to maintain an ISO certification, Metro Security Services core and support business processes are regularly assessed by an accredited external organisation.
Metro Security Services is committed to ensuring that the economy is structured and transformed to enable the meaningful participation of the majority of its citizens and to further create capacity within the broader economic landscape at all levels through skills development, employment equity, socio economic development, preferential procurement and enterprise development.
B-BBEE is assessed on an annual basis and, as the company has grown, there have been a number of additional criteria with regards to the overall evaluation of the company in terms of BEE. We currently have a Level 3 B-BBEE rating, verified by Grant Thornton.
